To connect a terminal to the POS app, you need the IP address of your terminal in advance. You can find it in the administration menu of your terminal. The prerequisite for connecting a terminal to the cash register is that both the terminal and the iPad are in the same wifi network.
Furthermore, the ports in the terminal must be set correctly. The following ports are required:
- Cash register incoming: 20002
- Checkout outgoing: 20007
Next, access the settings of the POS app and navigate to the "Terminals" tab. Here, select "Add terminal" and tap on the respective interface that is required for the terminal:
In the next window, activate the slider at "Connection required" and tap on the blue terminal IP address to enter the IP address of your terminal:
Enter the IP address of the terminal into the line Terminal IP at "manual input" and click on "Apply". If the IP address is displayed in red, please check the network connection of your terminal and your iPad.
In the next window click on "Login" at the bottom of Actions.
Your terminal is now connected to the POS cash register and ready for use.
