Connecting the Receipt Printer via WIFI

This article will help you to connect your Epson TM-M30 receipt printer with iPad or app.

CONFIGURE EPSON APP

1. First, open the EPSON TM utility app (you can find it in the App Store).
2. Click on the Wi-Fi setup wizard, select your model and confirm with "Next".
3. Turn on the printer and select "Not Printed".
4. Turn off the printer and hold down the feed button while turning the printer back on. A receipt should print that resembles what is shown. If nothing printed, you will need to change the receipt roll so that the coated side is facing forward.
5. Now confirm with "Printed", press the feed button for more than 1 second, then press it 5 times briefly and then again for more than 1 second. The printed receipt should look like the one shown in the illustration. Then confirm "Printed".
6. Now press the feed key briefly and then again for longer than 1 second. Compare the result and confirm with "Printed".
7. Press the feed key twice briefly and then hold it down until printing starts. Confirm with "Printed" and then with "Next".
8. The settings menu opens, click on "Install" and repeat this in the next two steps.
9. Confirm the installation via "Done". In the new window click on "Back" and select "Open".
10. Then press the iPad's home button and open the settings menu.

CONFIGURE RECEIPT PRINTER

1. First, click the "WLAN" menu item in the settings menu and select the "Epson_Printer" network.
2. Then open the Epson TM utility app and select the WLAN network.
3. Now you need to select the security type. If you are using the hardware box router, the security type is WPA2-PSK. If you use your own network, you have to check on your router. Then confirm with "Next".
4. Enter the WLAN password and confirm with "Done". Now click on "Next" on the next page and on the following one as well.
5. Now click on "Set Printer" and press the "Home" button to open the settings menu.
6. Click on "WLAN" and select your own WLAN. Then press the "Home" button and open the EPSON App.
7. Press "Next" there. Something will be printed. Now select "Test print". The printed receipt should show "Setup was successful".
8. Finish the process.

CONNECT PRINTER WITH POS APP

1. In the next step we open the app and go to the settings there as well. With a click on "Select device" a new window appears, in which we select the Epson TM-M30.
2. After that, you can still decide whether the printer should automatically print the receipts and how many copies should be created.
3. Match the IP address on the receipt with the IP address displayed in the app.
